I was just surfing the internet. I found that many bloggers conduct blog contests in their blogs. I want to ask that what the contest is all about? I mean what do they ask in this contest?
Well, I myself have conducted some blog contests in the past too .... Its actually that I was contacted by a Artist promotion company who wanted me to review a music album on my blog.... Then, they also asked me to conduct a blog contest as well, where they would sponsor the prize( i.e. the music album in this case ) .... So, bloggers conduct blog contests, but the prizes are sponsored by companies of their niche .... You just need to have a good readership, or a decent social network for your blog to attract companies into sponsoring the prizes.... Blog traffic also goes up in such cases too ....
It is all about to increase the interaction and bond between the bloggers. Basically contests would based on general things.
Did the artist promotion company approach you or approached them? In short, instead of you your blog readers did the review and you gave the prize to the best review? Can you please tell me more about the survey you conducted?
