Hi! For around a year i have had comments disabled on one of my my blogs! The reason behind this has been lack of time to moderate and weed out comments that are harmful seo vise. Now i'm thinking about setting up a new forum on a separate domain and code in a feature on my blog that creates a topic for each article on my blog and thus direct comments and diskussions there! Basically what i'm wondering if anyone has done anything similar, if so was it worth the effort!
Boingboing.net does the same.. they use discourse and create new forum threads for each new post on their wordpress blog.. I remember seeing some other websites too in the past though I do not remember right now
