Can anyone tell me what the point is if you cannot use your chosen anchor text for the backlink to your site? You have to enter your name, so how is this going to benefit your website - when the anchor text is irrelevant?
See if your comments and your anchor text are very much informative and belongs to that particular domain then definitely you will get the benefit.
if your comment is relevant to the post and gives a good contribution whether you use your anchor text on the name section, most blog owners consider it..
I agree and also even if you do not use your anchor etxt you are still gaining a link. I follow a bunch of fellow SEO's on blogs that nevert use anchor text.
But the point I am trying to make is how can it be relevant to your website if the anchor text is NOTHING to do with your site? Your name (no relevance) Comment relevent to blog you are commenting on Your domain linked to relevant blog with irrelevant anchor text How does it work? I can't see how by putting Dave Smith as anchor text will incease your domain for "cheap designer shoes"
Because anchor text (although it is very important) is still only one piece of the jigsaw puzzle. Google also looks at things like the number of linking root domains to your site to determine your site's importance, which then affects your rankings.
a backlinks is a backlink ANY LINK TO YOUR WEBSITE BUILDS AUTHORITY basically what i am trying to say here is that you do not need to anchor text every link to your site. in fact, google is putting more emhpasis on brand these days so try to use your brand name.
I have not been using my keyword in all my backlinks , it should be natural , when you can - you do - when you cant use your name , I have my name on my site as well and i guess that this is part of the branding as well - Google seems to be liking my links so i must be doing something right
