Hey there, im pretty new to blog commenting. When using your url on a blog as a backlink/name does it have decent weight for search engines? Any blog commenting tips - such as finding the best blogs to comment on, etc? Thanks.
Find blogs relating to your topic and comment on then. Contribute to the discussion in your topics. The amount of link juice you'll get all depends on the blog you're commenting on.
Don't comment just for getting backlink, do it for contributing to discussion ! or if you have more time then try guest posting, it is much better then commenting!
Agree. I've been posting blogs on different websites as long as its DoFollow without considering the topic of the blog. Now I learn my lesson well. Also when you do the commenting, make sure you observe the anchor text used by the other commentators. Some of them used related names on the topic of the blog but mostly are using the pen names or real names.
Try commenting comment luv enabled blogs, which will allow keyword@name combination, also some of comment luv blogs are do-follow.
Some but many are NoFollows. That's what I'm doing everyday spending a couple of hours looking for commentluv and dofollo blogs.
You can fine Do follow blog list here http://niceblogger.com/2009/08/21/dofollow-list/ Also look at : http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=820776
Engage the reader and show a genuine interest in the content being discussed. Consider their perspective: users are commenting, but most are spam. Appeal to those site owners with quality discussion.
Blog commenting is one of the way to getting back link in SEO & giving suggestions / solutions to the blog author. Wish you to read the article Trip Wire Magazine which explains it great.
Thanks for the link. I've been through with that website. As of now, I've already listed about 494 blogs DoFollow or NoFollow as long as it has Top Commentators plugin.
There's a no secret formula. Just be yourself, commenting a line or two would be tomfoolery, and also commenting 4 paragraphs of "nice post, thanks buddy. Good day!" are simply unacceptable. So, common sense is what makes your comment looks legitimate. Juice flows with good comments that makes sense.
