Is it worth spending time on commenting on blogs that are no follow? What are your thoughts?? I know google.com do not include them but Yahoo does and seeing that most of the SEO software is run around yahoo's site explorer is it worth the effort?
I comment on 'no follow' blogs if it is the same niche as my site. You might not get a link out of it but it dosent stop you from getting visitors from your post.
Google does count some of the no-follow links. I agree with yoda in commenting in your niche. A final point is that a mixture of links will also mask your SEO work and make it less likely that you'll be flagged as a SEO spammer (as long as you keep your # of comments within reason). Pierre.
I seldom use blog commenting as I normally use direcotry submissions, articles submissions and post to my own blog on a daily basis. But will start posting on no follows too now
A lot of people ignore the fact that although the spiders may not follow your nofollow link actual humans might. What´s more important to you - a spider or a potential customer?
Don't forget 'bout the anchor! The link to your website without necessary anchor is just a waste of time. By the way, "nofollow" link won't give any weight to your website.
If blog where you are commenting is of the same niche then don't think, just go ahead. It's worth and can help you to boost your SERP even if it's nofollow.
Depends on what your looking for... If the website you're commenting on has a great deal amount of traffic, then its worth it. You could get some potential customers sales. If you're looking for just a backlink, then its not worth it. But, it's always good to change it up a bit.. Keep Google on its toes. Consistency is Key! So is Variety!
I always comment even though it's nofollow. It's important to have a nofollow link, if all links pointing to your site are dofollow SE's might suspect you!
A balance of dofollow and nofollow are good for the linkbuilding. One can get traffic while the other can help boost up website importance. A healthy balance of dofollow bacteria and nofollow bacteria is always good to promote healthy website, otherwise the bad nasty Google virus will attack you....lol
Yes it is important, it will increase linkback on yahoo, increase the commenting quantity per day to see your main keywords in top ranking on yahoo
The point is, do you want to rank well in all search engines, or just most of them. If the answer is "ALL" then forget nofollow. Though google does find them useful for indexing/crawling even though they have no effect on ranking.
