I am very good at blog commenting and more than 95% of my comments get approved. I have a website about "improving eyesight" Where should I comment? I made comments on posts about eyesight and natural vision care. (Not niche websites) For eg A blog for software engineers had a post on "reducing eye strain", if I comment on that is it fine? Is it fine as long as I comment on the posts around my niche or should I comment only on niche websites? Also I made 6-7 comments on totally different niches (I didn't spam, I made very genuine comments) . Will I be penalised for making comments on totally different niches?
if you are not giving link to your site wile commenting then you can comment on any blog.. but if you are giving link then you must comment only on relevant blogs of your category only.. and yes, there is chance of your site getting penalized..
It's best to participate on blogs and forums that are within or are related to your niche like health and wellness since your website is about improving a part of the body. I don't think you'll be penalised by Google if you participate in blogs that are not within the same niche as yours so long as you are not spamming the blog or posting your links indiscriminately. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
Sometimes genuine comments can deliver more power for your business especially when your comments help people who are in need of some advices. You can find almost anything on the internet today! There are ways to even to put comments on your competitor blogs, facebook page, etc. You just gotta make sure that your comments are related to whatever topics they are discussing and if possible, you making comments that can help people to have answer to their current problem.
Blog Commenting is spam. If you think its anything but that you are a complete idiot and don't deserve have to have an internet connection. There, I said it. Learn real SEO and marketing and stop spamming people. Nigel
Nail on the head, really. At least when it comes to link-dropping. You could use blog commenting to build relationships, but don't drop your link. Work on the relationship and give when asked for it.
True, but I wouldn't say that blog commenting is spam. That's like generalizing it, like all blog comments are spam. There are people out there who make genuine comments, and add value to the discussion. I agree that blog commenting is a great way to build relationships, and that's what it really is. But most people miss out on this, particularly those who are only out to build links. Have a good day!
If the people are asking, just give what you have got. Don't spam. Share real thoughts and help others.
The main problem I face in blog commenting is you have to put your name for the keyword, which is not good if you want natural anchor text, and this is the main reason you don't get much link building benefit.
I agree with you Nick, As long as you are just posting a comment then it's ok to post anywhere in the blogs or websites but if you are placing a link to your website/blog then please make it a habit to do comments on niche.
blog commenting is nice choice for seo point of view, but how it's work because maximum comments give us nofollow links.
Don't tell him that, it will break his spam SEO formula from 2003 reposted in 2013! A simple rule in SEO about links: If anyone can place the link, it's a worthless link.
