DP Family, Do any of you use blog commenting as a marketing strategy to build backlinks? If so, do you put together a spreadsheet of some sort to keep up with the blogs you have commented on? Most blogs I comment on don't approve the comments immediately, so I was wondering if you all knew of a way to find out which comments got approved. Also, is there another much easier way to find out the same information. Please advise. Thanks
When I do work for clients I track the blog comments with Microsoft excel. But I don't worry about with my own sites. There is no way of if your comments get approved knowing without checking back later unless you use software. To make your job easier I recommend you get/create a list of AA Blogs. Makes blog commenting insanely fast.
blogspots are the ones that can approve so quickly but still some don't and you have to keep on commenting
Hi, Blog Commenting is one of the good way to Get good backlinks and Also it is very useful for getting PR to your site..Before you give a comment 1st you read the post and give related to that post it will accepted your comment surely..
I do the same and keep track of the blogs I leave comments on. Most of the time you can sign up to get notifications when your comments get approved or someone replies to them. When I do, I get back on my sheet and update it. If the blog I commented on does not have that feature, then I come back after a day or two to see if my comment has been approved. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
For blog commenting I would suggest to use free comment kahuna software to find related blogs with already approved some comments.
Thanks to everyone who comtributed. It appears that the best way to track these blog comments is the hardest way. I will start creating spreadsheets or try out that Kahuna Software.
I know you may have figured your question out already, but what I usually do in order to figure out if the comment was approved or not and see whether I will be able to get a backlink is bookmark the blog post and then visit it after a day or two, if it is approved I usually make another 1-2 comments to make it seem like I am regular reader and secure a backlink and then move on. That's something you may want to do in the future.
