Blog Comment Links vs Blog Roll -- what is stronger?

    Anyone share any experience... which is stronger... commenting on a blog..... or getting a blog roll???

    A blogroll link is much stronger. It gives you a homepage link as well as a link on most if not all pages on the site.

    Definitely blogroll. Aside from giving you a link on each and every page (which is hugely important for SEO) you should get some traffic from each and every site.

    Should I stay away for paying to get on blogrolls? Can I be penalized for BUYING links?

    In a nutshell, can someone explain what blogrolling is? I currently leave relevant comments on blogs. And I try to make them 2-4 sentence comments, not just "sounds good."

    How do I blogroll?

    Dead wrong!

    Actually you don't want links coming from every page of a website (aka - site wide links). After a certain number of links coming from the same domain (and IP) the link value is significantly devalued.

    A better strategy is to spread your links around and acquire greater diversity both in domains and IP addresses.
