Hi All Commenting on Blog backlinks - this is a good method for getting backlinks....But how do you do it without looking like you are doing it for obvious gains....and spamming!! For example I am number 4 on "advanced driving course" on google....This is THE MOST critical keyword for the business.... So when I post a comment on a blog which is the best way to get the all important backlink? Thanks rob
Have you thought of trying to read the blog post and posting something useful and related. If your comment quotes a portion of the blog then you are better off too. Use google blog search to find related blogs. You won't get mass links this way, but you'll get quality links. 3 a day takes me about 10 minutes tops.
It is one of the easieast method to get baclinks- qualitative. Regular postings on various blogs every day can increase backlinks in natural manner.
if you can put your main keyword as your anchor text word when you leave a comment but most blog owners might see that as an obvious spam comment and delete it
ok then, blog vs forum......with this as the case: "advanced driving course" This keyword - I am number 4 on google. However, The site at number 2 is advanced-driving.co.uk This advanced-driving.co.uk has a forum which I am an active member of - would this be considered a highly valuable backlink bearing in mind it is 100% keyword competitive for me?
blog commenting is not something i pursue. you can't make it look natural, it always FEELS like spam, and usually looks like it too. instead, concentrate on writing articles about driving, driving courses, cars, intense driving, and post the content to article directories (funnily enough i run one, in my sig!) as well as your own website.
Blog commenting can feels like spam if done in the wrong way, but you can achieve lots of backlinks in much less time than with article marketing.
let your blog name be your link, and make the comment relevant. that way you are likely to get it approved. though the link will probably be nofollow, of course.
Even do follow blog comments links almost don't give any SEO-effect. The problem is that Google knows they are used for spam too often. So a link from authors post is much more effective than a link from blog comment on the same page.
I would have to agree. It is better than nothing but it is not very effective. It si better if it has your target keyword in anchor text but it will increase your chances in getting your comment deleted.
There is a plugin called commentluv, and it allows you to put you anchor text in the name box such as graham @ anchor text (without the spaces), just go on the commentlv search engine and search for your niche and post away, you WILL find lots of other comments, but I have seen a positive increase when I use it. http://www.commentluv.com/ I just entered "driving school" and 3 pages of results appeared - Good luck!
