Ok Newbie Question, If I am writing an article to be published on a blog site, and I insert links (target keywords) into the article, is there a limit to the links I should be inserting? example: I am writing an articel on auto dealerships and my article contains 10 times the key phrase auto dealership. can and should I hyperlink all 10 key phrases? to take this a bit further imagine the article also contains keywords like BMW, Mercedes and Porsche can and should I link these keywords as well to relevant pages on my main site? I just don't know if there is a limit before it looks like spam to search engines like google... any ideas would be appreciated Oliver
Its ok to add links in your article but just dont over do it. Remember you are writting the article for us to read and not just for SEO
And remember a simple thing - if you put many links to a domain.com/pageA in the article content, then only the first link will be counted by Google.
NOPE.. you are wrong.... This is how it works... Lets say you use mydomain.com with an anchor text, then you use, mydomiancool.com.. Google will count both of them. Of course! Now, 3-5% keyword density is good, but it really depends on how long your article is before you can decide how many keywords you are going to use. Also, don't hyperlink all of them, you want us to read the article, right> Or click through to another site? If either one is the case, then it depends where you're going to post this article. Also, bold some of your keywords without linking to them, or, italicize them as well. Google pays a lot of attention to alot of things when it come to SEO, in general.. Just more techniques have more weight on them then others.
GuruCreation, these are two different links to two different domains. Read my post again : ...to a domain.com/pageA...
Nah, your right, read it wrong... Check it... Google will count both... example............... mydomain.com and mydomain.com/again - Are counted. I do this with article marketing all the time.. And I get credited for both.
A good example is my signatures... In my Google Webmaster Tools, I get a backlink for both of them, credited to the same post... Crazy as hell if you ask me... lmao! SEO is a game, along with backlinking... Once you know how to play the game - You sell it!
