    hi,

i currently have a tech news blog (http://techriot.net), and i would like to add a forum to it. however, i have tried using wp-forum and simplepress with many probs.

So, i am wondering whether i can use one mysql database for the tech blog AND a forum such as a bbpress forum or myBB softwares?

I ask because i would need to be able to have the currently regisitered users able to access the forum without having to sign up under the forum also.

Is there a way to do that? Is it even possible?

    Thanks

Yes, there are bridges available for WP and famous forums.

Have a look at MyBB forum and there are bridges for it. I am also planning to use it for my next website.

However, I would suggest to keep 2 separate database if possible to avoid mixing of tables and adding confusion if at all you wish to separate them out :)
