Blocking site-specific ads

Can you block ads from an advertiser who has bid on your site? I'm tired of seeing the same ads 2 days in a row. They never change. I put the ads in my filter and they are still there.

I think it would be an excellent option to block CPM ads per page (like with the AdSense JavaScript code), but there is no such option.

It sucks for me because there are so many CPM advertisers for digitalpoint.com, and they just blanket the whole site with stuff related to Internet Marketing. But some areas (like my personal blog) I would rather get relevant ads than CPM ones.

I was just wondering if an advertiser bids on my site would their ad be blocked if I added it to my ad filter?

My site is urban entertainment (music related). So my ads are pretty much content related (hip hop, nelly, Kanye west ads). But for past 2 days my ads have been totally unrelated to music. So I filtered 'em.

I've noticed this problem myself. One site in particular continually gets top spot on my site, and it has NOTHING to do with my site. I've tried filtering it, but no, it's still there. I thought it was just me, but now it seems to either be a glitch in their system or something more nefarious. In either case, having an advertiser who has nothing to do with my site continue to be there after I have filtered it is disturbing. I'm going to email them this problem...

Please keep us updated if you get a response. Because this is very frustrating. It seems Google doesn't want your site to have consisitently good earnings. Everyday the earnings fluctuates while the traffic, clicks remain the same.

But isn't the whole idea of CPM that the relevance isn't such an issue -- you're being paid CPM -- not by click. I tend to see CPM stuff appearing now and then, but CPC still forms the majority of the adverts -- that sort of leans credence to the idea that the CPM adverts only appear when they're the nest earners.

Travelfish, are you confusing image ads with CPM ads? It is not possible to know which are CPM ads. Image ads can be CPM or CPC.

if we just disable ads for couple of days, then that should be good enough to put off advertisers for sometime, i m sure they have many more similar sites to bid on

    Newtoallthis,
Wasn't thinking about Image ads, as we don't see a lot of image adverts period. Rather the text-only CPM ones -- typically given away by supersized text and just the one advert in a 728*90
