If you're using firefox you can install adblock to easily block your ads. You can also edit your hosts file to block your site completely from a computer, I'd link you to a guide for that but my account here can't do that yet I guess, google it :)

Thanks for that. If this line is added in the hosts file on my pc; will the adds still show but clicks won't be recorded? If I accidently clicked on..

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.txt

No, they will not show up to you. You block google's ad server completely.

Anyway.. look out for google's adsense preview tool it will probably allow you to click on your ads without count them as valid clicks.

That will block all the adsense ads from your side.
better you use openads and block your IP there.

If anyone accidentally clicks on adsense ads, dont release your mouse button. Instead, drag the mouse to somewhere and release. You will not get a self click. But most of us unknowingly clicks and cries , oh I clicked......

Dont releasing mouse button? If you release mouse button after click, you will go to the advertiser website and your click will be recorded. Now most probably you are in trouble.

grg, I did not spammed. The link provided in the above post is not my website, it is Joel Comm's website. And I am not going to advice you, because you misleaded poor people. There is no hosts.txt in the windows etc folder. There is only a host file with no extension in the etc folder. People will obey you and put hosts.txt in their etc folder. And their windows will malfunction. I dont have any problem that you called me spammer, because people will realize me. thanks.....
