Blocking Low Paying Keyword?

Discussion in 'Keywords' started by Rey, Jun 1, 2005.

Is this even possible? I mean it is quite frustrating sometimes if I see 16 clicks that will earn only 60 cents... since it kills the purpose of having high CTR. So is blocking low paying keyword on adsense even possible at all?

No. Not possible. You can only block advertisers, not kws.

Instead of blaming others, you should improve your own content if you want higher click values.

you will have to guess which ads are not paying much per click. this is next to impossible using legitimate means :) some may be tempted to "test" the ads and keep a record of how much each paid but this would be fraud. shame we are not allowed to "set our price".

There are legitimit ways to know what ad was clicked. Plenty of tracker scripts out there on the web. :D

I must admit that the script isnt perfect. It doesnt track all the clicks. But overall it gives you a nice look at what ad format is performing well. Which ads are a clicked. Which url , etc.

Can you figure out which "key phrases" are popular or the "adwords phrase" that was clicked.

Does the script show the click value (money value I mean) of the ads?

Blocking lowpaying keywords is difficult if your site is centered around a low paying subject. Adsense algo simply looks for keywords in the headers and title. If you change your headers and title that could make a difference, but it all depends on the content of your site.
