Blocking China threw .hta stop DDOS from there?

    Hello

    I have a long list of china ips, and i was wondering if i blocked them threw .hta does that prevent ddos attacks? If not how would i make those IPS not be able to access the server in any way?

    My guess is that software does not stop it, as the DDOS does not affect the server only. The server has to filter all the IPs... also the router and the connection also suffers with the amount of traffic... so you should get proper hardware/firewall to stop those attacks.
