I've seen a variety of olders threads on this issue, but was wondering what the latest detection tool was for blocking the adblock users? I run a site where the costs just keep going up yet the adsense revenue is not matching (92% of my users have firefox, god knows how many have adblock). Many thanks in advance...
The best policy it do other revenue streams. People who use adblock don't want to see ads so making them watch them will just make them annoyed. Try affiliate marketing as this usually produces good results and can pay more than Adsense if you promote it well and have a good product.
You can work out how many of them use adblock with some pretty basic maths - check the impressions of your monetized pages according to awstats. check your impressions according to adsense. work out the difference.
I knew that tip before, actually around 50% of my users use adblock which is really annoying, I wish there was a way to block them from viewing unless they whitelist so they see the ads.
I have other revenue streams but even they are not always the strongest and as such would like to diversify as adsense actually generates a steady/probably stream for my site. 20-25% of my users use adblock (this from various 7-day samples over the past month).
