So I blocked traffic from Iran and China on two of my proxies. I was getting probably 50 - 60 cents a day from them usually around 5 to 10 clicks a day which isn't great but now I have 0. So I guess the ad clickers where coming from Iran. Americans don't click on ads?? I know I don't at least.
My dad is asian, and he does not know websites well. He thinks the ads are part of the site linking and showing up to what he wants, so he basically clicks them all.(Thats my dad not my mom or anyone else)
dont do it. you will lose your earning potential. Americans have more awareness about adsense ads, so the probability they will click your ads is very low
If your interested, the reason your getting Iran and China traffic is because those countries block sites like facebook etc because of freedom of speak etc... so people use proxies to bypass the goverment blockers.
Webmater do not click ads but normal internet user does click on the ads. The click mainly from iraq or china maybe because the ads attract them but not other country member
If you are from the US I'd say it's a good idea to block them. You might earn a couple pennies here and there from foreign traffic, but that's not your goal and the advertisers that pay well don't want junk traffic from those countries. Most high paying advertisers want US traffic because apparently there is a higher conversion rate. I would suggest increasing your US traffic using inexpensive ppc advertising. Another good way to do that is to join proxy top sites/entertainment top sites that generate US based traffic (like people who work in offices and want to look at fun sites/social networking sites, but their offices block them). One more thing, Americans absolutely do click on ads. You just need a good amount of US traffic and things will work out nicely for you.
