Blocked in Google, then never indexed again

My site (ethanol-news.com) was blocked in Google back around July
last year. In reading the Google's webmaster guidelines, I thought it
was do to many spam type links in my forum. I cleaned up the forum
    and submitted a re-inclusion request.

The block was removed, but the site has never been re-indexed since.
Sitemaps says the site was last crawled on Sep 15, 2006.

Several months ago, I thought maybe it was banned because it's a sub
domain and links to the main site. So I removed the inter linking
between sites, thinking maybe this was the reason the site is not
    indexed. But no luck.

I'm out of ideas and I'm at a loss as to what to do? How can I find out
why the site is not being indexed without getting the "Read the
    Webmaster Guidelines" standard response?

I even posted this in Google's forum last week. No response. Big shock
    there.

    Thanks

Try using Google Webmaster Tools, sometimes if your domain is penalized, it will let you know there.
