Block Stumbleupon!

Is there any way to block traffic from stumbleupon? I did never submitted my site but I am getting useless traffic...

 

I don't know if there is a way to block it now, but you could start taking the icon away where people can bookmark your article. This must be possible in the admin of the WP.

 

You have a StumbleUpon button at the bottom of your post and wonder why your entries get Stumbled. I would suggest you update the plugin your using to display those buttons to Sociable 3.2 which has to be better than what your using.

 

Stumbleupon traffic my not be great but unless you really have bandwidth concerns blocking people that want to visit your site is a bad idea.

 

a simple php script can redirect them

I don't think stumbleupon is too useless because they have to read your title and partly understood what you want to say in your article

Why would you want to block this traffic?? Why not put some Adsense
on it.

 

No one from stumbleupon will click on adsense and I don't want to waste my monthly bandwidth

 

A few may click occasionally. However, I am not a huge fan of Stumble Upon so I see your points. If you want to not be stumbled, the only way is to write directly to them and ask them to remove your site. It may show up as a ban but at least you will not be stumbled again. If you try to stumble DP, you will see how it works.

 

I think I will leave it like this and observe for a week or two..
