I was viewing some sites, including my own, using a proxy when I realized that no ads were being shown (because the site they are using to access other sites are blocking scripts). The obvious problem is that if your ads are not served, then you are not making money. Have any of you just blocked proxy users. Or do you have any other way of dealing with this. I wonder if AdSense is addressing the issue since they are too losing money.
What do you mean they will ban you if you use it on a proxy? Ban who? Are you talking about me using AdSense on a site that gives users proxies? That's not what I'm doing. I was looking at sites through a proxy.
How do you think google is loosing money? It is actually good that you can't see ads on your site other wise google could ban you for illegal fraudulent clicks.
I see your point, last poster. And, that proves my point even more about the publisher getting skrewed. But, not one of you answered my question. How do you deal with people using proxies to view your site? Do you ban them? In a way, I consider using software to stop viewing my ads the same as stealing.
I treat them the same as any other visitor. If you are that concerned, then your focus is wrong, your site is apparently for adsense, not for the transfer of knowledge.
