How do I block certain advertisers. Theres some really non targeted ads appearing on my forums - which is understandable because the posts are not always revelant.

But I heard you can block certain advertisers?

Log into your account and put the site urls into the competitive filter.

Geo targetting? I dont think you can manually edit that. Adsense is geo targetted automatically. "Adsense Preview Tool" can help you see the ads as shown in diffrent countries/states.

You can use sompetitive ad filter, but I think its pointless in your case.
    1. The highest paying ads are going to be banned, reseulting in low cost clicks.
    2. You cant block all irrelevant ads. Differnt geo locations get differnt ads, and they could still be ir relevant.

You may consider adding meaningful titles or a general intro kind of text on all pages, preferably near the ads to get more relevant ads.

    mmm good points thanx

the forum does generate appropriate titles - It depends on the forum posts contents

There are a few irretating ads I want to block. Listings that I know wont get clicked on..

You'll never block the endless torrents of ads that'll show up on your forum. If you replace it, chances are the ad will be replaced by something just as irrelevent.

Why shouldn't he use competitive filter? He doesn't want irrelevant ads showing up. Also, as I've pointed out before, the highest paying ads are not always served first. I've filtered Ringtone ads and saw my earnings increase. So stop spreading that myth.

Not always. Some ads are simply too irrelevant not to filter. It works for me. Don't discourage people from trying just because it doesn't work for you.
