"Blink Ready" Symbol - $15 to Winner / 24 Hours

    Idea: Symbol for "Blink Ready". The concept is related to something that is "ready in a blink of time", or "immediate access". Software that is "Blink Ready" has features that load immediately without any lag time for the user.

    This is not a logo, but should incorporate the words "Blink Ready" into the symbol. Since it is not a logo, these words should be readable, but do not need to be large and overwhelming.

    It will be used similar to a "seal of approval". See example at bottom of post (Energy Saving example).

    I will provide constructive feedback to all entrants.

    Concept: Blink Ready

    Delivery Format: Illustrator (vector format) + image (png). Transparent background.

    Size: Deliver at 150x150.

    Color Palette Desired: Be creative. Must work over a white or light background. Inspiration from example icons below:

    Payment Method:

    I will pay via PayPal or directly via credit card if you have a billing system available.

    Fine print:
    • Winner must agree to transfer full copyright to me, for unrestricted future use, royalty free.
    • Please do not incorporate any graphic elements for which you do not hold the copyright.
    • Please, no stolen or purchased designs. Original work desired by skilled artists.

    I look forward to your seeing your designs. =)

    Let me know if you have any questions.

    Joe

    @bakerbaker:

    Very strong and bold. I love the symbol and the colors. The only thing I would probably change is the positioning of the text. Perhaps it could be embedded into the symbol, or follow a rounded path around the edge of the eye.

    Beautiful work. I was not expecting the very first one to be this great. =)

    Thank you very much, I'm glad you like it :)
    I'll just play around with the text and then post some more samples.

    Here are the (in my opinion) best places the text could be if you like any of them just let me know. Also, if you'd like me to make the text have the same gloss as the rest I'll fix that too.

    @bakerbaker:

    Maybe the one with the text wrapped around the bottom. Thanks for the revisions.

    Do you use Illustrator for these?

    Okay, cool. I'll make the text a little more glossy so it fits with the rest. And yeah, I use Illustrator for most of my stuff, best tool there is ;)

    Here's a version where the text fits in a bit better. Hope you like it.

    @bakerbaker:

    I think I actually like the plain text more. It stands out better, crisper.

    @masjacky:

    Creative concepts. I am not quite sold on the colors used. It's very cool when you look into both eyes. :) Piercing.

    @unyango:

    You have an interesting approach with more of an expressionistic approach. This would not be suitable for my purposes, but I appreciate you mixing it up a bit to keep the creativity flowing.

    Thanks to all. Still hoping to see a few more submissions before making a final decision. So far, the style bakerbaker has used is most inline with what I was thinking.

    @masjacky:

    Thank-you for the new color options. It would be a choice between gray and orange for me. =)

    Personally I like the blue but here are a few more colors. I've also taken away some of the gloss. Hope you like it.

    Apologies for the delay in closing out this contest. Thank-you to all participants for your creative work.

    I have selected bakerbaker as the winner. Please forward me your PayPal info via PM and I will send immediately. I will also provide you with my private email address to send the final version. =)

    The winning entry was a strong symbol that captured the theme well, had great use of color, and strong text. This will work great for its intended purpose.

    Here is the winning submission:
