    obviously NOT. you cant alter the adsense code but you are freely Alter the code of your own website :)

    Yes it is against TOS. Do what ever you want to do with your ad code from your google adsnese account .

    background image is OK. we cannot change the ad code we generate, but we can change the look and feel of our own site. some people use CSS stylesheet to decorate their ads which is OK as well. as long as we are not decieving the visitors and bringing undue attention to the ads.
