blank slate forum (forum start), how do you get forum posters?

Just wondering for people that first started there forum, how did you get new forum posters?

Make your forum appealing to your users, don't just chuck something up in 2 minutes and expect people to come posting!

yeh you are right
but it will take a time to become active
in starting you have to post by you n your friends
after that you dont worry about that

 

First - you have to be your own first poster. Its up to you to post your first threads and topics

Second - call your friends and family and ask them to join your forum.

Third - figure out "who" your targeted audience is, where on the internet those people are at and "what" they are looking for.

Is your targeted audience looking for images, videos, instructions on a certain topics, pod cast,,,,,,,. Then you need to start to provide unique content to target that group.

 

start a forum is must harder than a blog,
you can first create unique and quality threads for your forum and let the search engines crawl and get your first stage visitors.

You have to post yourself as much as you can. Create some accounts yourself, and start talking to yourself.
