Sometimes I have an AdSense block show up on my site with no ads in it. I read somewhere that this means Google just didn't come up with enough ads for the particular page. It seems fairly random though. Sometimes all the ad blocks on a page are filled, sometimes not. The homepage never exhibits this behavior. I don't have any pages with more than 2 blocks, btw. Does it have something to do with how Google has indexed (or not indexed) the site? It's a brand new site, if that makes any difference. Anyhow does anyone have a clue what determines how many ads get served up for a particular page? Mostly just curious. Thanks, Gary
Relevant adsense ads only appear when a page has been indexed and then only if the page has enough info to determine appropriate ads, so it would seem that the pages you mention either have not been crawled yet or don't contain enough relevant keywords. T
We had an issue with Google blocking ads on a "complaint" site of ours. They had some filter that prevented ads from popping up on our site because it had a "negative context". However, when we got through to Adsense support, they looked at our site and removed the block.
Hmm. These are articles, with *lots* of relevant keywords (it's a "work from home" site). It's probably just that the site hasn't been fully crawled yet. I submitted the site a couple weeks ago, but I recently tore it down and started over, so google has some bad links for me right now. Article page is here: http://workfromhomespot.com/articles Hopefully it will rectify itself next time I get crawled. Speaking of that, is there any way to get yourself crawled again, or do I just have to wait until the Great Big Brain at google decides it's time? Thanks for the info, Gary
Would've been better to redirect your old pages to the new ones than to leave them dangling. As for resubmitting, reference the new pages from an indexed blog, that will help greatly.
