Interesting question. How would we find out if an IP is blacklisted?

there isn't much you can do! i used to check the grey pr bar, now every pr0 or most of them are grey!!
perhaps checking the pages in archives, or adsense preview tools are an option,

Hey guys Google does not blacklist IPs but domains. They are not bothered what your IP is. Also an IP is normally from an ISP and the same IP may be allocated to another innocent site.

I think all the major search engines blacklist DNS names, not what IP they resolve to

I think google will blacklist those IPs who make problem or hurt their business, but this is an issue of business. On the seo side, google will only blacklist domains.

Nobody has proven that Google ever have blacklisted an IP except one time when they said they banned a certain IP range in India for spam or was it adsense cheating.

google doesnt blacklist ips because your orginal ip can easily be changed with help of proxy moreover many networks have same ips so i think google doesnt black list ips
