    Hi

I have a website which is a blog and for some reason after a week of posting it still doesnt come up in googles index (searching by domain name)

is there anywhere I can check weather its blacklisted or not?

Maybe Google hasn't found you yet. Do you have links from other sites pointing to yours?

    yes i do. 3 PR4 sites.
ive had this domain for ages. there was a blog and ping site there previously, so i think that it might have been blacklisted.

I doubt your site has been blacklisted.
Have you submitted a sitemap to Google yet? Also, 3 back links is not a lot at all. Keep updating with fresh content, submit your sitemap, get more back links, be patient.

easy way to tell, especially since you say it is an old domain

    type in site:yourdomainname.com

    in google

if nothing shows up it means it is banned

I have one like that, just leaving it parked at the moment

seems a better idea to just start with a new domain rather than go through the time wasting to try to get unbanned

Some domains get banned /deindexed in Google, it is better to start afresh

sign up to google.com/webmasters/tools and ask them to reinclude/unban

but you will have to beg

and if they do unban it then it will be like starting over with a brand new domain, personally I wouldn't even bother

and they are less likely to unban it if it is for an often abused niche, like adult domain names, spam type domains, etc.
