i would entertain a serious offer if i could see more information on how you are monetizing the traffic. such as a few analytic reports on your e commerce campaigns. i have purchased forums for more than that before but they were very specific industries i could monetize in.

 

It's a Blackhat forum, I'm not exactly sure how you get more specific than that, but, traffic is mostly organic now through google and other major search engines. We were monetizing through large ad networks such as adsense (banned a blackhat forum, who would have thought) and adbrite. Also doing our VIP specials etc. etc.

There are MANY ways to monetize this forum, such as charging to post in services for sale, software for sale sections and much more.

 

yeah i am aware of many ways to monetize this type of site i ran a hacking/security forum which at its peak had 12,000 active members which i actively monetized until i sold it. I was wondering more as to how you were monitizing as im a little curious why you would want to sell it without pursuing different ways of making money such as creating a main site which contains marketing videos or something like that. What are the legal issues if any you have had to deal with? i am interested but i will need to do some research before i make any decisions. What is the current hosting solution and how much estimated bandwith do you use monthly? any info is appreciated and i can assure that i am able to purchase if you can answer all of my questions. I am guessing all the vb licenses and addons all come with the package? are there any databases other than the vbulletin db? have you made any affiliations or partnerships that would continue upon purchase? If you would prefer we can speak over the phone, i am going to have a lot of questions about hierarchy and daily operations of the site.

Im quite confused as to how you've come up with your $30,000 valuation to be honest.

Not nearly 30k, and neither is this. I think serious offers could be entertained at ~10k if the seller is willing to publish website analytics, revenue break downs, etc.

 

Whats the server time on the site ? Only reason i ask is its now 6pm in the UK and so far for today there has been less than 10 posts according to the stats at the bottom of the forum anyway.

Seems very weird considering there is a massive amount of members online right now , or are they faked stats ? Or is there private forums which have shed loads of posts today on ?

The users online at the bottom of the page are fake. The site was recently brough back on time and I do not have the time to get it back on top ( Which I don't imagine being too hard) mostly because I've got a family and a full time job, which will greatly interfere with working on Blackhatpalace.com

So I'm retiring my what once was a success, and passing it on to a power/money hungry fiend.

May I add a note - that most of the money earned came from VIP memberships (Had over 400 paid VIP memberships in the life of BHP - Ranging from $5-85 a month) Also some direct advertisers. I tried adbrite for a while, but just didn't like it. Made a lot more money selling banner space directly.


I think someone with the drive to want to make this more of a success again can easily make it happen and monetize it more than I could.

The possibilities are endless.

You just have to think outside of the box, there are tons of ways to monetize, such as VIP membership to give users access to things high in demand (Ebooks, methods, etc.) You can sell direct advertising with the amount of users, etc. etc.

It's a blackhat forum. If you don't know anything about blackhat seo, I would not recommend buying a site like it, but on the other hand, there are TONS of resources to learning what you need to know.
