Hello I'm new to this forum and seo in general. I've been browsing through some of the posts and was wondering what is the best method to go for, blackhat seo or whitehat seo for a new website?
Always go with the standard label of SEO. Don't push your luck in using Blackhat because your site might suffer once it was banned by search engines.
Yes I agree you must go for White hat seo not black hat. Because what hat seo is legit and the black hat are full of violations.
White hat : follow the rules of SEO & all techniques .. Black hat : break the rules of SEO & post unlimited links to promote our website know as black hat...
Black Hat : techniques or tactics which have been defined by Google as in violation of the Google “Quality Guidelinesâ€The Black Hat label applies to those methods specifically mentioned n the “Guidelinesâ€,like to think of Black Hat SEOs as opportunists. They see an opportunity to gain, and take it, managing the associated risk. Please don’t confuse ignorant SEOs with Black Hat SEOs. White Hat: techniques or tactics which can be defended as NOT being contrary to the spirit of Google’s expressed quality or just about any other Google communication. I like to refer to White Hat SEOs as “conservatives†of the SEO world… where things are viewed as BLACK or WHITE.
Black hat may looks like more beneficial to you at first, but it may lead you to the wrong path. So better choose slow but better SEO method that is white hat SEO. Because slow and steady wins the race.
You can index your website using black seo and countinue with white seo. You need to use both techniques when you want to get results. Offcourse when you have big client and you don't want to lose him you need to use only white.
Of Course Whitehat, By doing Whitehat SEO your Site will last Longer Meanwhile, If you're doing Blackhat SEO maybe it can Drive your site to Google #1 Page faster but it will easily get banned from google
Scraping is classed as black hat but I believe it’s a faster way of sourcing targeted properties its much faster than searching Google manually this should be whitehat but any auto posting, submitting, generating etc. this is bad, hands down whitehat SEO is much more reliable than blackhat, with blackhat it’s a constant panic waking up checking Google to see if you have been banned whitehat is nice and smooth in the long run you will be rewarded.
black hat can give you a boost of traffic, ranking and authority, but that wont last long, once google found out that your are using black hat, on the other day you woke up you'll be having hard time looking for your site on google.
Doing SEO with tools or spam link building is included in Black hat. Genuine SEO and quality work, original content is included in White Hat SEO.
It's not that simple. Since this is a new website, the first thing you should be asking yourself is how to make it valuable to the target audience, and also how it can be used to fulfill your own specific self-serving goals (which is usually to make money. It doesn't matter if you rank on the front page of search engine results, with a website that isn't valuable it won't stay there and you won't be fulfilling your ultimate goal. So obviously this advice comes from somebody who wears a white hat, but I also don't see SEO as "black vs. white". I just see a right way and a wrong way. Black hat works for some, but not most. I'll say it's not worth the risk to try black hat strategies, but you'll end up trying them anyways if SEO is your primary objective. (It shouldn't be.) The more important question to ask is "what do I want my website to do for me?" and "what do I want my website to do for my audience?" Answer those, and the rest falls into place. Also, Black Hat is NOW and then crash, while White Hat is slow, steady, effective, reliable, and longer lasting.
Black Hat : The Black Hat applies to those methods specifically mentioned n the “Guidelinesâ€, other methods and/or tactics or circumstances mentioned by blogcomments on others’ blogs, or just about anywhere anyone from Google says anything that strongly suggests Google took action against a site for some specific reason. Black Hat SEOs know what they are doing is defined as BAD, and do it anyway for specific reasons . I like to think of Black Hat SEOs as opportunists. They see an opportunity to gain, and take it, managing the associated risk. Please don’t confuse ignorant SEOs with Black Hat SEOs… White Hat: t I like to refer to White Hat SEOs as “conservatives†of the SEO world… where things are viewed as BLACK or WHITE , and the letter of the Google god is taken verbatim as TRUTH. Yes, there is a bit of a timeline problem with that approach (if Matt said it was bad in 2002, is it still bad?) but that’s just the tip of the White Hat
