I too like Ron Paul... not everything but mainly his willingness to dismantle the Fed and stop the wars.

Take a look at http://www.usdebtclock.org/ which has no advertising... and you'll see why this is so important. Until somebody does this the country will continue to implode under the weight of it's own debt.

The Bankers and Media who are the upper 1% live in fear of Ron Paul, so they won't give him any serious coverage.

Yep. He has done an amazing work for 30-40 years to bring this understanding to common people. Even Newt Gingrich understand this now. :)

As you can see from http://www.usdebtclock.org/world-debt-clock.html most first world countries have a far larger percentage of debt than the US has. (Using absolute values instead of percentages is a magician's trick, and as phony as Bush's war. Sure Andorra has less debt than the US. It probably has less in assets than Warwick, Rhode Island.) Those few that don't either don't give much in foreign aid or are receivers of foreign aid.

The world runs on debt. Eliminating all national debt wouldn't just totally destroy the world's economy, it would set us back about 30,000 years economically. Even primitive barter societies use future promise for current goods. Not that I'd mind being one of the 25,000 human beings left, living in a cave somewhere, but someone forgot a very important dictum - "you can't do just one thing".

As far as invading a foreign country - why isn't one son of a former government employee serving a 500 year sentence in Club Dead? That's too short for the deaths he caused, but who knows if there will be prisons in 500 years?

I disagree. It will probably destroy the economy for a while but it will recover again. Almost all of this debt has been created out of thin air. It is not based on real values. It has been created by banks while giving out loans. This means the banks more or less now controls the entire world. Do we want a free world or a world dictated by banksters?

What do you prefer? Freedom or slavery? I think that is the main issue in this election.

Debt itself is not a problem, improper use of debt is the problem..

If government uses the debt money to build a better infrastructure that will create new opportunities for people and advance the economy, it's all good.

But when government uses debt to pay the million dollar bonus to the CEO and other executives of supposedly on the verge of bankruptcy banks, it's a disaster.

Over $2M in one day is pretty awesome considering it's mostly coming from small donors (less than $200 donations). They've extended the BTO money bomb through Friday BTW. Go Ron go!

He is the most legit politician I've ever seen. The one hope that I have is that win or lose, there come other candidates in the future that take up his cause and are legitimate and not just stating it for votes. He's exactly what we need to end corruption and big government and corporate control over America.
