I also thought you meant ads targeting black people. Very confused for a second there.

If you could tell google how to do that you be very rich now :)

I get on average about 50% increase in CTR with dark themed sites over my light coloured templates.

I've also done some split testing on my forum, with the same template.

White the CTR was below 1%, with Black the CTR is 3% at the moment :)

i have a better experience with black themed AdSense site in terms of earnings and increase in click through rate (CTR). "seoflea" has earned me an increase since i changed it to black theme.

but i have a heard a better explanation about CTR increase by manipulating the colors, texts, and urls of the advertiser which we are allowed to make changes in.;)

Well, I think that Black sites have more CTR too. Take a look at my website www.temblog.net
When I Changed to this wordpress theme, my CTR grows.
I think that it's not very good to read. Someone sai that hates black sites. I belive... It's possible that some people who visit the site hate it too and click in the ad to leave the site...

imo on black themed sites the ads blend well but stand out better.

on white themed sites the ads blend well but don't stand out as much, as someone mentioned there's less contrast between the background & the ad text :)

The colors does no matter. The optimization can be made on every color(s) sites.

It depends on your topic. Some music topics would go better with darker theme.

does any body have a view with blending the ads or making them actually "standout" - for eg: if you blends ads in a sidebar, (say standard blue) and then using red links in the body to make them look different?
    Thoughts?
