I wonder how many people here use black SEO methods in comparison with the white ones. Which of them are more effective?
while I dont do blackhat at all, I have engaged in "gray hat"...that is pushing the bounds without actually breaking them.

Black hat is very risky. I don't recommend it to others. Gray hat would be your best choice in doing SEO, most of webmasters do the mix of both strategies.

As per my experience white hat SEO is more effective. If you don't want to create bad impression or penalize by Google, than it is wise to use "White hat SEO"

Of course, I understand that using black hat will lead to ban by Google. But after all this whole business is about money. One of my friends uses black hat earning a lot of money and he doesn't care about his websites. He creates them regularly and very often after another ban... I myself stand on white methods but I am just curious about your attitude... Though having a popular and useful site gives you more than just money, it contributes your "ego" or self-esteem.
