http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2004-07,GGLD:en&q=cheap+viagra #1 and #2 for cheap viagra is a "site down" pages hahahaha #1 Site down (hxxp://b2.boards2go.com/boards/board.cgi?user=cheapviagra) #2 Site down (hxxp://lucky7.to/viagra4/) #3 Spammy redirect subdomain (hxxp://h1.ripway.com/cheap_viagra1/cheap_viagra1.html) #4 Spammy Redirect (hxxp://lol.to/bbs.php?bbs=viagra345) #5 Site down (hxxp://hk852.to/viagra/) Thats the top 5 and the bottom half doesn't look any better. Need I say more? Similar results can be found for nearly any of the highly targetted terms (loans, pharmacy, etc). Who says Google is good at blocking spam?
The site is not down, it has been taken down by the host due to a violation And with only 5 million results, you don't need black hat to get well ranked for such a term.
Fryman, what's the distinction? What you wrote sure looks funny all written down . I think Yo-Yo is saying that Google should've caught that the site was spam and not given it a #1 slot BEFORE the ISP, or host, or whoever shuttered the site for TOS violations.
Not only that... but they are still ranking sites with the title "page down" or "page TOS violation" in the top 10 spots
Yeah, just realized that, lol What I meant is that this guy started spamming and doing all kind of crap and his host kicked him out. Not really a way to "rule" at google.
The other post I made is in the underground burried in a topic that only registered users can see. I posted it in the "Google" forum so everyone could see and discuss... now it's moved into Website Reviews??
Seems like an appropriate place for it, given we are reviewing the site or lack there of. So to speak.
It wasn't really about reviewing the "site down" pages.. it was about showing Google is still full of spam results
I don't know how many searhes that gets but there are supposed to be some high paying pharmacy affiliates, so I think most drug terms are pretty sought after
Yeah, I am sure that anything related to viagra must get a shitload of searches. And medical ads on adsense also pay very well per click, so that would be a good source of revenue also.
Actually, ferret77 is right, it has 5 million results, but the term is very competitive and most people would give an arm and a leg to get ranked for it, so that makes it much more difficult to rank
