    Ok so ‘ethics’;

    Which brings us to Morality;

    I just don’t see how breaking the Google TOS is enough of the human lexicon and evolution to be considered in such terms…

    It isn't. Most people confuse morality and ethics (or simply have no grasp of either)

    It's all about business/money guys.
    When you are hungry there are no ethics.
    It depends entirely to you - if you think it's wrong then you don't do it, or you do it because you want fast results.

    Black Hat = Daft if you care about your brand and you have a long-term business strategy.
    If you're in it for the short term and you make sure that your other, more important brands aren't associated with it in any way then as Borat says "Why Not!!!!"

    Voted for yes. It's better to work 3 months for good results then 2 weeks with Black Hat SEO and get banned.

    that doesn't have anything to do with the question asked.
    Whats better depends on your goals.

    Yeah - folks are rambling - TOTALLY missing the philosophical question at hand.

    Is it ethical?

    As you know, I don't believe ethics enter into it other than the scenario I earlier outlined

    People who say BH is unethical are either;

    Super-sensitive to what could cuase to the whole Internet and the quality of SEs.

    Confused about the word itself and expressed it emotionally.

    Jealous about those who succeeded with BHs.

    Afraid of getting caught because they are also doing BHs.

    It's apparent you have no experience with black hat seo. I've got domains I put up with our software 6 months ago that are still ranked and producing tons of traffic in both google and yahoo. BH does not = automatic banning.

    That's just it. Never mix white hat seo and black on a domain you can't afford to lose. Luckily you can pick up a coupl hundred .info's for next to nothing these days and drive as much traffic as you want.

    Lets be honest though. Any type of SEO can lead to a domain being banned in the search engines at any time.

    Honestly, Id like to know why this thread is still going.... I don't see that even taking a chance at black hat SEO is even worth the risk. Unless your a multi billion dollar company and can buy your way out of a hole. Pointless really :)

    What risk is there? The risk that your 88 cent throw away domain will get banned and you will have to buy another? That's not much risk, nor is it much expense.

    no it isn't. You never perform black hat seo on a white hat domain. You simply build sites that direct traffic toward the white hat domain using throw away domains. Really simple, and nothing the search engines can do about it. Otherwise I would point a couple hundred spam domains at my competition and get them all deindexed. Doesn't make sense now does it? ;)

    No worries, I think that is one of the big misconceptions people have about black hat. :)

    what i believe is that all seo techniques are not black.. almost everyone can understand it when tries to darken his site! I think it is not clever to try these black techniques in your "good" sites, because sooner or later the SEs will reveal your tricks

    recently one of my site was banned from G and i don't know why, yet! Probably it was a past sin that is removed from my memory :angel:
