Recently I came across bSaves.com, which is a black version of the google search engine. The site saves energy because the background is black which therefore requires less energy to be displayed. I was wondering what you guys think about it. Learn more about bSaves

Why would they get banned if they were linked with adsense? Doesn't make sense to me...

Search in google for: Earth Hour
Every earth hour, google makes their page black exactly like these type of sites, these sites are just ripping off googles idea
Search for Black Google Saves Energy in google, and blackle, and you will get completely different results

Bsaves and Blackle are not official google products.
They just employ google search technology..
Here is another one, which more closly rembles google.

    nightgoogle.com

    results still vary slightly.

I just want to say that nothing is better than google. We do not know that whether it saves energy or not but some other problems may arise, as discussed above, which are not in google.

I have seen that blackle type of site but I don't think it really happens for all the monitors uniformly. I have read this black site can save energy only in crt monitors, for lcd monitors it is not atall energy efficient as black consumes more energy.

honestly this just kind of seems like a gimmick to get people to use the site.
