I don't think this will happen anytime soon, so Forget NameCheap, use namesilo, registration and renewal is at same price, $8.99 with free whois privacy free for life. Use coupon "siloname" or "namesilos" for $1 off to that above price.

Also You can register as many domain as you want at namebright.com for $4.99, with one year free whois privacy like namecheap.
