Bizarre #1 placement

    Sometimes when you're searching a site comes up at #1 and it's hijacked or giving 500 errors and you check Google's cache and you can see what it thinks is there.

    Then there's today... I was posting a news article on a site and working through it to add links to all the organisations mentioned in the article.

    Did a search on http://www.google.com/search?q=%22citizens+and+ratepayers%22+nz and at #1 comes the official website (I guess) for the Auckland Citizens and Ratepayers group. They're a political party currently running Auckland City. Only Google has found, and cached an error page which says quite simply...

    So, how long do you reckon Google give them to "find a match" before it drops them from their #1 spot?
