Hey folks! i am using bit.ly for shortening my url and then sharing it on facebook and twitter. When i share the link its works fine for me but when my friend in Australia try to access it it can't when i click on the click on facebook the link generated is http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http://bit.ly/linkID&h=lAQC5pAlb and when my friend in Australia click on it the link generated is http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http://bit.ly/linkID&h=qAQDR4kKN. On redirection it is refereed to not found page http://bit.ly/linkID/?ref=nf but it is working fine for me both of the links. Any suggestions what is wrong with it? Is is something wrong with browser or what ? Because the link generated by my friend in Australia is working fine for me but he is unable to look at that after click but it works fine when i copy paste my link to him and he click on it? I am confused what to do. Thanks in advance
yes maybe a browser issue, let him try to use other browsers to test.. if still, maybe his firewall or antivirus or even his internet connection provider blocked bit.ly..
but when i give him the link https://bitly.com/linkID it is working fine for him so i think bit.ly is not blocked. the actual issuse is that on click it is not opening /?red=nf is added to link on his side if we delete /?ref=nf the page is redirected correctly
