    hello everyone
I found some expired domain, but the one i am talkin about its PR7 and has i think 3500+ backlinks
but its redirected to other domain so i know the PR is passed to that particular domain
but, the backlinks are live, so is there any option to get PR for this expired domain after PR update??

    Thanx

You need to make sure that the links are going to the domain that you're going to buy and not to the redirected site.

Also, it depends on the registrar and how the domain ownership is transferred to you--some expired domains automatically get banned by Google and their PR is zeroed out, while other expired domains "make it through".

In this case this would be called Fake Pagerank.

It's when someone jumps their pagerank "illegally" ( at least considered so by domainers ) by fowarding their domain to the site. Thust it abosbing the other domains backlinks and page rank.

It would take a while to have it update to the whole new site and pagerank.

I guess all back links will not be coming to the homepage. Try to retain the pages and URL's. Use search engines to find the URL's to which people are linking... :)

Why would anyone move their site from a PR7 page to a brand new domain? Make sure you are not getting in some legal troubles...
    Bye :)

Jeet i think your not getting it...

They wouldnt which the site. It's a different person basicly using for example myspaces content and back links to their domain to incress it's pagerank and back links not myspace switching to a new domain.

of course these are just examples.

Oh, so actually all back links are going to some PR7 site and this bought domain was only redirecting to the main domain, that's why the PR...

From what I know, once the redirection is removed, the PR will vanish and the domain will be good as new...
It might also take some time for google to update it's info that it's "not" a redirect any more.
