I am always unsure on exactly what to write in a bio that will be attached to my byline. I am torn between a line about my writing service or articles in my niche. Anyone have any suggestions on providing a good bio for articles? TIA!
Someone asked me for one of those the other day and I wrote something akin to : Seasidewriter writes from her home in XXXX. Her articles have appeared in local and regional publications. In addition to writing she enjoys XXX and XXX. Maybe start with - WriterMLH is XXX specializing in XXXX. Hope his helps.
It depends on where it's running. I write different bios catering to different markets. I do find the more generic sites the toughest.
It would be best if you write a line about your articles or free stuff that you are offering. It's a better come-on than advertising your writing services out in the open. Once readers check out your articles and free products, they'll be transported to your website and will know, too, about your services.
