Anyone want to share what they know or have read about how bing's algorithm, link popularity, and authority differs from Google's model of site age, .edu links, and .govs ect.
This is what I have read and come to learn about Bing. 1. Anchor link text does not count for Bing. 2. Bing counts links by what is on the link page, and by the page title, for example: If the page your link is on has the title: "Affordable Pet Grooming", and your web site is about Affordable Pet Grooming, then Bing will count this as a link relevant to your site content. 3. Bing likes to rank inner site pages instead of main site pages. 4. Bing prefers older sites, even more than Google. 5. Bing prefers links from multiple domains, versus multiple links from the same domain. 6. Bing likes related domain, and page file names. So, based on this, from what I can tell the best type of Link Building to practice for Bing is Article Submissions.
thanks for sharing. I'll have to do some research and get back to you with what I find. What sources may I ask did you get your Bing intel from? Quality niche articles and other quality content are always a great way to go
I searched for a few hours before I found a couple good articles on some sites with this information. I don't remember where right now, but if I do, I'll share the sources. Thanks.
From what I've seen, bing puts a big emphasis on the TITLE of a page. Links count too, but not as much as google (I think). Bing also seems kind of slow to find new pages... I find their results to be pretty good, but not as good as google (usually). Anyway, title is huge!
Came across seomoz blog and they did an interesting summary between Google vs. Bing ranking correlation. Hope it can answer your question..
