So on the major keyword I rank #10 on page 1 on google but on bing I am on page 5 when I use to be #2 on page 1.

Search Engine Optimization is very strange game. It is possible that you are on top 10 for few keywords and suddenly all of your rankings are dropped. So, my recommendation to you is, to do link building for the keyword you want to rank up in Bing and update the content on weekly basis.

its just normal...and thats the reason why we keep on working on doing SEO for the site..to maintain or exceed its position in SE's...Bing and Google are two different SE so it dont exactly give same results...

Each search engine supposedly has its own algorithm for indexing and ranking content, thats why you see variations in rankings, you can only do a set of principles covering general SEO, not for specific search engines unless they are substantially big enough to warrant individual attention.

Google ranking depends on Page rank, authority sites, Original Content and quality backlinks. From my experience, original content and authority sites give more priority to Google. Sometimes, low page rank website can outrank high page rank sites.
Bing ranking depends is depends on how many backlinks your site like to, but recently I noticed that they prefer to rank a certain websites very fast, normally within 30 minutes (this is like Google authority site) and at certain time. So if you want to rank high with Bing, build more backlinks and index with certain authority sites Bing love. Another point is Bing prefer mini sites (static web page) than blog and with keywords in the domain name.
    Just my opinion. Hope help.

Monitoring search rankings can beneficial for numerous reasons. For one, it can help you visualize the progress you are making, especially if you are just getting started!

Keeping tabs on those rankings can help you discover where your traffic is coming from and try to repeat that success.Bing Microsoft search offers a fresh new approach to search that is very consumer-friendly.

Google has much stricter rules in ranking website in their search results.. Bing, on the other hand, is much lenient.. I guess there lies the difference..

I like to make my searches on Google as it gives me the desired results hence I think that no other search engine will ever come closer to Google. My two cents :)

Its all depends on search engine algorithm. SERP changes day by day according the back links of the site. YOu need to work hard on those keywords get top page.

BING sucks - they still use meta keywords. So that's all you need to do, add good keywords to your head - meta data. But Google has 10 times the power over BING. Maybe you're not concentrating your efforts in the right direction - ??

Why even make a consideration about Bing ? only those people who find their site listed on the first page of Bing endorse and use Bing, nobody else does. Bing needs a lot of improvement, its not that bad actually but Google is good. You wont gain too much from Bing, but it never bad to have a good term rank at Bing :). Just wait for few days, Bing index system and sorting of sits is slow.
