Bing vs Google

I did a fair bit of work on my website over the weekend for a 'highly competitive' search term (Google's words) and I am currently waiting for both Google and Yahoo to crawl my website again.

However yesterday I noticed Bing have for the first time indexed my page and I am ranked 5th for the said search term.

I am just wondering how this result with Bing is likely to correspond to my Google rank when it eventually gets crawled again.

Hmmmmmm. I must admit Bing are starting to creep up on my searches. The figure is something like 50% Google, 30% Bing for one of my sites at the minute.

That is quite impressive seeing that Bing have been around for no time at all.

Google and Bing have different algorithm, good possition in Bing does not mean good possition in google.

I get hardly any traffic for my sites with bing, google ftw. I have no idea how to rank well in Bing, can't imagine that it's that much different to other search engines, though not many people seem to use it.

Bing and Yahoo uses the same technology, search algorithm is different from Google. Optimize for Bing search engine is easier!

I don't see the importance of optimizing sites for Bing when very few people are using Bing. Google is already a household name.

With the question, there is no advantage if you got ranking in Bing if you are targeting keyword in Google, Both Search Engines (Bing and Google) has different algorithm just as what everyone has said.

Be glad you are in Bing. If you aren't in Google yet, at least you can so some off site SEO and help yourself there.

well bing is gaining lots of ground. Not too long before bing hits 20%+ market share. Then it will be worth seoing for it.
