I have never thought anyone could stand against giant arrogant Google but looking at the buzz it really looks like Bing is giving some hard competition to google. What you think does it stand a chance or it will just vanish like everyone else before it.
i think its all about money. If you have enough money you can hire engineer, webmaster,.professor .... and you can do whatever you want. i think bing is doing that. Taking the idea giving money, developing that and earning much more money. Just a business for microsoft.
Google is best so far ! Well bing is giving a good competition Compare : http://www.bing.com/search?q=Protoworker&go=&form=QBRE&qs=n&sc=6-6 http://www.google.co.in/search?q=ProtoWorker&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a Code (markup): You can decide
if you want to see if bing, google or yahoo give you the best results try http://blindsearch.fejus.com enter a search term and it will display the results side by side from the above 3 BUT you will not know whose results they are until you vote for the one you like, then it will show you. Bing will never overtake google because people are creatures of habit and are used to using google. it would take a lot to get them to change their minds. Bing has been around for a while now, had many such posts as this here in DP as well, but still comes nowhere near google in terms of searches made. Many people even say they will google something rather than they will search for something.
The question is good but it purely depend on the user that uses these sites, mainly I feel that bing image search is much better than Google while with normal search Google is the King.
Bing is gaining a ton of ground, but they seem so similar to me. Bing just seems like a reverse engineered google, ten years later.
Google is certainly the best up until now but seeing how inaccurate the caffeine results are there may be some chance for bing in the future. Bing is certainly way better than the likes Yahoo et al.
Good reply. I agree with you. I love your point "people are creatures of habit". Even drug addicts know that taking drugs can kill them but still habits their body and mind have made over time make it hard for them to move on. By that I don't mean all web surfers are bunch of drug addicts.
Yah there still a huge difference between Bing and Google. But anyway anything can happen on Internet pretty fast sometimes overnight.
