I don't feel Bings userbase is large enough to get traffic.. I've got very minimal traffic from Bing to my site..
I also noticed a drop off in Bing traffic on some of my sites. However, I still get more relevant search results from Bing.
That's the key, folks! I'd rather get 20 people who are really interested in my site, the goods and the services than 100 people who pretty much just bounce out. Bing is great for delivering visitors who truly want to see your content, use your services and buy your products.
i agree 100% that it is better to get "interested visitors", but i disagree if you are trying to say that google brings irrelevant traffic. I think google is smart enough to know what is on your website. we rarely get any irrelevant traffic from google. do you???
To my knowledge, I have not received traffic from Bing yet oddly. Even though some of my websites are ranking well.
Bing has already gained a fair share of the market for travel and shopping searches which simply means if a person happens to stumble upon your site from Bing and you have some kind of service or "ads" you can expect some real paying clicks.
No I'm not saying 'irrelevant' traffic, I'm just saying that, from my experience, visitors from Bing convert at a much higher rate.
I have been receiving traffic from Bing for one of my English sites ever since the first week of Bing's launch, and Bing's traffic has been growing (though slowly). In China, Bing's market share is still relatively small (something like less than 1%), so for sites targeting the Chinese market, we don't actually pay much attention to it.
Bing gave me the least traffic from search engines. Overall I rate Google the best, followed by Yahoo
I get some traffic form for some of my video autoblogs, which rank better in Yahoo and Bing for similar keywords than in G*...but still it's like 5-10% of all incoming traffic.
