Just noticed this approach seems to get one showing in the bing serps reasonably quickly: 1: verify with bing webmaster tools 2: submit sitemaps 3: wait 24-36 hours 4: submit urls to 9 key pages (index, archive etc) using the Submit Urls tool under "Index" in the webmaster tools. Important, just after you do 4, publish one new article every 3-4 hours for circa 12 hours. Price: free.
