Bing, should I care?

I am ranked nice and high in Bing for my sites but I rarely see a hit from there. My stats:

    Google, 63%
    Yahoo, 30%
    Bing, 4%

Hmmm... should I care to optimize some pages for Bing? I do find it much easier to get top positions and I haven't even specifically tried for Bing. I could probably monopolize the top spots on Bing with effort for my top keywords.

    Is only 4% common?

FWIW, I think I read where Yahoo and Bing are combining forces over the next year or so and will begin using Bing?

good rank at Bing can get you backlinks from human editors and most importantly from automatic crawlers,

may be a very good start ;)

If your site has a good ranking in Google, usually, I think you can also gain traffic from Bing.

I don't focus on Bing. I am more focused on Google because the traffic I get from it is higher compared from Bing.

It depends, Bing brings more traffic to one of my sites than Yahoo does. (With similar positions)

    Thanks Brian

Bing has many things like Google. It does not hurt by optimizing for both Google and Bing altogether. :) Bing may not bring you much traffics for now but they may come over Yahoo in a soon, even they both have been merged already.

You really shouldn't be focusing on each search engine independently. Just use good SEO practices and you should do well in all of the engines. If you are going to focus on one, I'd focus on Google since they have (and will likely always have) the majority of search marketshare.

Bing WILL be powering Yahoo! one day... But my guess is that when it happens, Yahoo! Powered by Bing + Bing will have LESS marketshare than Yahoo! + Bing do today. In otherwords, I think Google will actually gain marketshare once Bing begins powering Yahoo!

Ranking well in Bing will help. Traffic is traffic regardless of its source.

It seems to depend on the subject your site is about. Bing gives me some nice traffic on some sites and not much at all for the majority of others.
