I'm having problems accessing the site - I can log in but nothing happens after. Do I persevere or stop wasting time? Has anybody had success with it?
I might sound repetitive constantly citing Grok, but it states: Local SEO Boost: Optimized listings improve visibility in Bing's map pack and local results, which influence ~25% of Bing's voice searches (Bing leads US voice market share). It also creates "citations" that strengthen your overall online signals, indirectly helping Google rankings via consistency (NAP: Name, Address, Phone). Businesses report 20-75% lifts in local form submissions or calls from Bing alone. However, it also says: Given Bing's 4% global market share and Google's dominance (90%+), Bing Places listings are estimated to number in the tens of millions—likely 20-50 million active business profiles worldwide. This is a rough extrapolation: Google's Business Profile has over 200 million active listings, and Bing's smaller footprint (about 1/20th in search volume) scales proportionally, adjusted for underreporting in emerging markets like China where Bing holds 20-50% desktop share. Which I interpret as: Asian markets prefer Bing over Google, suggesting that New Zealand and the US will experience less impact from Bing's prominence. .
The good thing about this thread is that it prompted me to try again. Whatever bugs were thwarting me back in August seem to be gone now.
That's great! I had been in SEO sometimes back before the lockdown, had a stable job. But now I am struggling through my journey. Sorry, I am not here to share my downfalls, but want to start again. Never used Bing places earlier, but I think they have a very little share in the Global market. I mean, we here in India all rely on Google maps whether it's for a business or a location.
Sure, but this is a thread in the link development section so it's more about the bots and how they see your site than the humans.
I am also from India and i am using bing places too .... I dont think its useless, If you want to explore yourself more and more then what is issue with 10% additional traffics, (as you are saying Google is giving most of traffics) .... helping also in NAP and citation building, accoding to me both are basic needs of promotion. In case of new lising Bing take 20+ days (sometimes about 1 month) to live listing ... You will get email when Bing will live your location.
