bing optimization

Can some one please give me some advice on how to get better rankings on Bing. I have done fairly well of the Big G but get crap rankings on Bing. any Bing related advice??specifics would be nice. Also how do list a Canadian business on Bing local?

I agree with victoryreds...just shoot for what we know with google and bing will follow. Since Microsofts methodology is brand new and differs somewhat dramatically from msn.com it is hard for use as an SEO community to decipher the algorithms. We need longer to test it, but i am sure that if you rank highly in google you will undoubtedly rank high in Bing. Good luck

Follow old fashioned SEO Methodology: create quality backlinks, have quality content that you update on a regular basis, and use keyword rich content.

 

For my site, I have done hard work on Google SEO but the results are better at Yahoo.

The biggest factor which Bing consider is site age. It gives preferences to aged sites and pages that's why their search result quality is good.

 

I believe Bing also supports the SEO's done for Google. Moreover you can use Bing Webmaster Tools :

The best way to get your links on Bing is to submit your site map to bing's webmaster tools, then an MSN bot would crawl your site and index your content.

Then, expect visitors from bing at your website.

But, don't expect much visitors, because Google has a lot more users,

 

bing has it's own engine rules, but it is still a search engine, so do it as google.

 

Yes, continue distributing relevant contents with lots of your networks and after taking time on it, you'll see results are coming in your way. Just make sure you always provide unique ones because that's where the profitable traffic comes in.

I am pretty sure Bing optimization techniques are the same as Google or Yahoo. Increase links to your website and update your content frequently, you will see a rise in rankings very soon.

 

I have been examining the Bing results for some time now and I think Bing is moving towards the Google direction; counting backlinks and gradually forgetting about the on page items for giving websites ranks.
