Bing no longer reporting positions?

Discussion in 'Keyword Tracker' started by debunked, Aug 7, 2012.

The last few days our positions with Bing went N/A from 1 to -9998, etc....

    Is anyone else seeing this?

This is for every site and KW were are tracking with the tool.

The Bing API is now a paid product, so the free retrievals no longer work.

I tried to post about this months ago, but someone here busted my post and gave me penalty points for posting "off topic". Go figure.

It was working fine for me until a couple of days ago. (Maybe it started in August.)

I hope my voting for you helps ranking you high.
yes I think BlackJackInfo is right. Bing API is paid now and is more swift. Sorry to disagree with you on this one digital point.

    We're both right.
Bing DID switch to paid access to the API, effective August 1st. That's why the old version of the tracking script stopped working on August 1st.
Shawn updated the tracking script though, to go back to scraping results from the XML version of the search pages.
If you update the tracking script as he advises, your Bing results will start working again.

The keyword tracker script has *always* used an RSS feed for Bing results. The fact that Bing went paid with something we never used was not the issue. :)
